This introductory course is designed to help students build essential computer skills for academic, personal, and professional use. Students will learn the fundamentals of Microsoft Word and Excel, two of the most widely used software programs in education and the workplace.
In the Word portion of the course, students will gain hands-on experience creating, formatting, and editing professional documents such as reports, letters, and resumes. They will explore tools for page layout, tables, images, and document collaboration.
In the Excel portion, students will learn how to organize, analyze, and present data using spreadsheets. Topics include basic formulas, functions, charts, and formatting tools, along with real-world applications such as budgeting and data tracking.
By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently use Word and Excel to complete common tasks, increase productivity, and prepare for future coursework or careers that rely on digital tools.
